    67 non AC radiator

I pulled my leaky Dewitt radiator out of my car after 5k miles and 6 years of service. I was surprised it sprung a leak so soon. I called Dewitt and they want me to send it back for a pressure test and a fix or replacement. So will get it out to them soon. I did not install the radiator when I restored the car. Should I install the radiator first in the car or should the shroud go in first? Or any secret install notes are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Lawrence

I lay the shroud in first and then drop in the radiator. then bolt in shroud.I have the fan and clutch off as well. I put them in after radiator and shroud secured.

Hood off,fan/clutch off.........shroud in then radiator......you want the engine front as clean not to snag any parts

Bill I followed this format and got the radiator back in with no issues. I called one of my buddies over for help on the install. Thank goodness for this. I also used a piece of cardboard cut to size and laid in front of the shroud. This helped to protect the new fins of the radiator. Car runs great no leaks. Very gratifying to do this myself. Thanks for all the help from everyone.
