    1958 gas tank cover screws

Were these screws painted interior color (car has red interior) or were they cad plated?

Phillips or slotted? Right now the car has a mix of Phillips and slotted painted red to match the interior.

I looked through the judging guide and either I'm tired after playing in the garage all day and didn't see any reference to it, or there is no reference to the screw color / type.

    Thanks,

    Tom

I recall these as being phillips head machine screws. I don't believe they would have been painted originally since connections for fuel tank wiring would need to have been made after the body drop. Mine are not painted. Dan
