    Holy Fiberglass Failure Batman!

I came across this bit of corvette trivia. The first, but not accepted, Batmobile for the TV series. I wonder where this car is today?

Not sure how accurate that story is? This looks more like some sort of a prank or joke.

It certainly looks like a half-hearted effort, considering Barris' work.

That's Chuck Jordan, GM Styling Vice President, and the photo was taken in the covered breezeway between the Styling lobby and the Executive Garage; yes, it was part of a prank, and most of the stuff on the car was made from cardboard. Chuck liked a little fun, just like most people. Chuck and I were among the founding members of the Motor City Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America - some day I'll show you what the Styling guys did to his Ferrari Daytona when he stored it in the Styling basement for three years while he was at Opel.

I like the bat-guns protruding from the 427 hood scoop. They must be made from toilet paper rolls.

Easily verified by the fact the original Batman series began to air in Jan 1966. Well before that 67 in the pic was ever built.
