Are these stamped with a part number from GM?

Re: OEM 1969 sidepipes
I just purchased a 427 set of 70's made Walker NOS pipes.
Other than the GM parts sticker, I did not see a stamped part number.
There are spot welds that go around the muffler section, somewhere about mid way.
There is a "W" stamped on the mounting tab at the rear by the exit down spout.
The 2" extension pipe is welded to the muffler section and the 2-1/2" area (for manifold) is welded to the 2" pipe.

Re: OEM 1969 sidepipes
i went back a checked on the pipes - can't find a stamped number, but maybe mine are a later Walker run.
I always heard the Walker pipes that were left over from production and put back into OTC stock had stamped numbers in them.- Top

This was my craigslist find of the decade. These are the NOS pipes that I put on my 69 427 last year. Were likely over the counter pipes.
They have a small stamped set of numbers that I still havent been able to ID. They sounded super quiet at first but now have a nice low note.Last edited by Don H.; September 17, 2013, 10:20 PM.- Top

Re: OEM 1969 sidepipes
Picked up a pair of NOS pipes in Canada. Shipping was a mess, anyway the exhaust are really nice. The do have a part number stamped on the pipes. Hope the pictures help. Steve104_2628.JPG104_2634-001.JPG- Top

Here are pictures of the numbers stamped on the pipes on my car. Sorry for the bad quality - best I could do since they are on the car.sidepipe.jpgsidepipe2.jpg- Top

Re: OEM 1969 sidepipes
The reason I bought these pipes had nothing to really do with being correct...was more for the sound. I had an original on my drivers side and am aftermarket on passenger so had two different sounds driving me crazy. I know that the pipe I took off was original. There were no part numbers anywhere.
