I removed the body on my 69 for restoration. The body mount pads which are solid were rusted to the point that the bottom of them were not intact enough to use them for comparison. I was not able to tell if the pads were just round 1/2" thick washers or if they had a machined surface that would fit down into the large hole in the frame brackets. I recently bought a new body mount set from Volunteer Vette and one of the pads was machined with an extension to fit into the frame bracket but only 1 was that way. Can anyone tell me if on the 69 model the body mount pads were ALL machined to fit into the frame bracket or not. As it appears to me, if the pads are just flat on both sides they just act like large area thick washers and does nothing to center up the mount in the frame hole. Thanks for any advice you might have on this!
Thanks,
Brad
