62 soft top rear window heat seal is seperating, how to re seal it ????
62 soft top C1 with the rear window heat seal letting go and opening up on one side.. anyone had any luck in doing a repair to seal the window back in place ??? the top is relatively new, is the correct heat sealed in clear window (duh dumb ass design , anyway) soo.. any one been able to re seal the edge of the clear window to the soft top??? thank you for any help ..

I believe the top would have to be removed to properly reseal it. I think it's a 2 sided heated press which melts and bonds the window to the top. If the top is tight it may be difficult to keep the repair from happening again. Maybe contact the top manufacturer if you know who it is, and ask their advice.
I've never repaired one, but a idea might be to use a clear liquid vinyl repair glue to at least get it sealed from water intrusion. Just mask off the areas well to keep it off the top material and view area.

we had that problem with a camaro we tried to repair and were not succesful. iwould call manufacturer and see if it is covered under warrentyComment
