In 1992, I bought a brand new Corvette LT-1 for $35,000. Then in 2003, I bought a brand new Z06 for $51,000. Now I hear the 2014 base Corvettes are going for close to $65K. When will it end? As mentioned above, I'm starting to doubt that there will ever be a C-8. JMO

That will never end, the government keeps mandating the auto industry do stuff, they have to comply, good or bad we have to pay for it all. This is not inflation, it is government in your pocket...JMO.

I'm not sure where you're getting that price from. Go to Chevrolet.com the base on a 455HP coupe is $51995.

All were singing the same song, and I think they might know. In fact the statement they made was: "No salable cars have been shipped." There are around 200 to 300 C7s in the Captured Test Fleet and those cars are out there, but they are only supposed to be in the hands of GM employees. That is their story and they are sticking to it.

There is an areal photo of the shipping yard over on Corvette Forum in the C7 section and you can see the cars staging in the lot. The story of the above Chevrolet employees was they expect shipments of coupes to dealers to begining in several weeks if nothing goes wrong. Convertibles will be by the end of the year. Again -- their story; I am only repeating what they said.
Terry, do know which thread over on the CF has the aerial shot of the cars in the storage lot at the BG Factory?

Since they have started shipping the C7s this thread is as old as the paper on the bottom of Tweety's cage. From page 4 of the C7 General Discussion section:

                      http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...9-13-13-a.html

The title of the thread " AMAZING AIR SHOTS -NCM Complex & Plant 9/13/13" makes it not too hard to find.

Thanks, though, for giving me the chance to read up on concerns about the cleanliness o.veryf the car before the transport cover is installed, and other earth shaking issues regarding C7 new car deli

looks like this is latest news on whats produced and waiting:
Here’s a great picture that shows just how fast the 1400-car shipping lot at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant is filling with brand spanking new 2014 Corvette Stingrays. We understand that the Quality Control process has been very tight, but with this many Stingrays lined up and ready to go, it most likely means that
