John, Great find and great story!

If you and Ara are ever up in the Sebastian area where I am give me a yell too. I've been to the Ft Pierce Friday night monthly Cruise Night in my White '59 or the wife's '72 Tan E-Type many times. Maybe you saw us. It was my favorite show here in FL but unfortunately haven't been going lately since they've reduced the size. By the time we get there it's always full.

Yet another Ft Pierce find came about...........Maybe you heard about this one. The last time I went last year I bumped into yet another guy who knew a guy with a old Corvette there in Ft Pierce. 2 days later wife and I took a ride to check it out. This Silver Blue '63 was in the guys front circular driveway with a cover on it, since 2004, when he towed it with his tractor from the lower rear garage of his house. Not running because he took the carb off for rebuild before that. He moved it to avoid the back yard flooding when the '04 hurricanes came.

He got ill and it sat there for 8 years with only a cover on it. He owned it since 1980 and used to drive it around the rows of Citrus Groves that he managed checking on his pickers. He bought it in Texas and still had the 1980 plate on it. It had factory A/C. Power everything. He didn't want to sell then but I found out several months ago a guy that looked at it before me, came back and the owner sold it to him. I spoke with that new owner soon afterward after seeing his post on CF. He got it running after some serious clean-up work.

      John
Thank you for sharing the interesting history of your 54. I have been trying to research the ownership history of my 1967 L- 79 which I purchased in the late summer of 1969. I know that the car was originally delivered to Rathman Chevrolet in Melbourne, Fl. in September of 1966 and I know the name of the owner before myself but the gap inbetween is a blank. I contacted the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles but have been advised that the records for that time period were destroyed long ago. It is not my intention to hijack your thread but it seemed that either you or Tony had been able to obtain old title records. Thanks for any suggestions.
