1965 Coupe Air Conditioning Heater Box Y duct attachment question

    Hello Again,
Still working on my Heat and air inside box and ducts. I was missing my Y duct so I bought one online. When I try to attach it to the main inside air box I am confused about how to do it. The AIM shows one screw to attach it on the left side. There is a metal tab on the right side that seems to me it should go inside the main box. It doesn't want to go there. My main box was broken in this area and I had to fiberglass it. I am wandering if I did something wrong and this is why the tab wont go inside. I even tried to trim the corner off this tab to make it go inside but it still doesn't want to go inside enough to allow the y duct to seat all the way against the main box.
It will seat all the way if I put the tab on the outside of the main box. The question then is what atached the right side of the duct to the main box and keeps it from falling down? I realize that my y duct is broken too and I will repair the fiberglass on it. In the AIM it looks like there is a hole in this part of the duct. ( Where mine is broken) but the Aim shows no screw in that hole. Can anyone supply me with a picture of their car in this area. I have lots of pictures from my recent post that peole supplied. ( Of the inside air Box) but they don't really show this area very well.
Here are three pictures of the y duct and how it might attach. Ist one is overall view. Second is with tab inside and third is with the tab on the outside.
    Thanks again for everyones help.

    Bill,
Your last picture shows it installed correctly. Fix the missing fiberglass and you should be good to go. The screw is all that holds it in place but it is more secure once in the car.

      OK Great!
But should there be a screw in the frt where my Fiberglass is broken? Or just the one on the left side?
      Thanks again,

I've only seen it on the left side. Yours shows the same evidence as there in no screw hole in the area where the glass is missing on the "y" piece where it would go into the main housing.
