I have just located a 1960 fuelie barn find. Original paint, interior and drivetrain. It was last registered and driven in 1983. A very important part is missing, the Vin tag. If this car checks out with the frame stamp and an expert verifies the engine pad, then what? I cant' even see where the tag was originally spot welded to the column. Does anyone make a replacement Vin tag and install it like the original and also pass judging? Thank you for any advice.

Re: 1960 VIN tag
What is the VIN of this car? You can delete the last digit if revealing the VIN is a concern. Knowing the VIN will help determine where the VIN plate "should be" (on steering column or in door jam). Look for indications that the VIN tag was either spot welded to the steering column (and is not longer there) or was attached to driver's door jam area with two screws.- Top
