1967 Corvette Tri Power Ignition Shielding

What should I look for in a 67 Tri Power ignition shielding? I know there are differences between 66 and 67 as well as 390 vs 400/435. Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Dave

This is described well in the '67 Judging guide, page 107. Of course the L71/L89 and L68 have a shorter lower shield across the front to clear the Tri-Power manifold. The L36 lower shield has a fish hook style front grounding clip riveted to the front face, vs. the thinner design "C" channel clip on the L71/L89 and L68. Top cover shields are all the same.

        Hi Michael,

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, this is not referenced well in the NCRS book I have. What version are you using?

        Thanks,
        Dave

It is the book with the orange/red cover, NCRS, 4th edition (5th is about to be completed, I have ordered but it hasn't arrived yet), 1967 Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging guide. It is what we judges use for judging on the field at NCRS events.

I understand, maybe it will be out soon. Always best to have the latest edition when looking for parts and prepping for judging, the judges always will have it.........

My fear now is that since I am prepping mine for chapter judging next month, the judges will get the 5th edition before I get mine.....

                Dave -

The current (orange cover) 4th Edition replaced the one you have about twelve years ago.
