C2 tire jack hold-down bracket paint color

Hello group,
Does anyone know what the correct color is for the bracket that's riveted to the floor and holds down the tire jack in a '64? Was the bracket installed before or after body paint? If after, what is the correct color of the bracket? Semi-gloss black?

That bracket was riveted to the floor pan in the underbody subassembly buck in the Body Shop, and was primed semi-gloss black before installation.

Thanks for your feedback. Am I to assume the brackets were ultimately painted body color when the completed body went thru paint, or did the plant mask them off to retain the semi-flat black color?
Also, I want to thank you for the excellent article you wrote about engine cooling & coolant recently published in the Restorer. I learned a lot from it!

Those brackets ultimately got body prime and color overspray and carpet color interior paint on them after they were installed in the Body Shop.
