    Dashboard lights 1967 Roadster

The intensity or brightness of the instrument lights is very low at idle making several instruments un readable. At cruising RPM they are marginally brighter. I just complted a frame off restoration which included restoring the dash panel. This problem exited prior to the restoration. I thought the restoration would solve it. I tried replacing the headlight switch but it not improve the situation. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot the problem.

Nature of the beast - dim gauge lighting. #1817 bulbs are brighter, as are LED's, but neither are "typical" for a judged car.
