This ebay listing shows a letter using Chevrolet letterhead from Charles M. Christy," Chevrolet hobby and sales manager". The letter is dated 1997. Does anyone have any knowledge of this person or position at Chevrolet past or present? The letter seems to indicate some historical record at Chevrolet by VIN. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-...#ht_500wt_1166

Chevrolet has always kept records of the VINs of cars they have provided for special public relations programs; that's where we got the VIN listings for the '67 and '69 Camaro Indy 500 Pace Cars and Festival cars. The "Hobby Manager" title has been changed since - that's the Sales Dept. guy who works with owner groups, clubs, etc., like Joe Pike did back in the 60's.- Top
