1970 Tank Sticker Size Question - also Scheduled Price Sheet?

Hello members. Just looked at a 1970 454 convertible today, and held the tank sticker in my hands. I measured it, and it was approximately 8 inches in height, by 5 1/2 inches in width.

I have not dropped a gas tank in over 20 years, and that was a 1967 coupe back then, but I do not remember the tank sticker being so small. Does this sound like the correct height and width for a 1970 Tank Sticker- Corvette Order Form? It looks 100% original, from every photo I have found online of original tank stickers.

If you have a tank sticker from a 1970, or year close to it, and can do a fast measurement of the height and width, can you please post your dimensions here?

I also saw the Scheduled Price Sheet included with the car. I have never seen this before, but it does have the name of the first owner, who is also on the Protecto Plate. Is this a rare paper to have from the selling dealer? The bottom of the Price Sheet lists the Zone Number and Dealer Number on it, which also matches the Tank Sticker information, and also has the buyer's name hand written on it.

    Thanks for your help,

    Steve

      Steven,
My '71 Corvette Order Copy is the same as Jack's in dimension. The Scheduled Price Sheet is a rather scarce document, I've only seen a couple in all my years of collecting GM paperwork.

        Steve -

A "Scheduled Price Sheet" was created for every Chevrolet vehicle; it was created at the assembly plant when the dealer order was accepted and scheduled for production, and was mailed to the dealer, showing the specs, options, and price of the car if produced per the confirmed dealer order. There was no VIN on the SPS, as the car hadn't been built yet when the SPS was created/printed/mailed.

Steve...I removed the original tank sticker from my 1970 dated 70/02/20. It measures 6 3/8" by 8 3/8" as others have indicated. On the top, bottom and left edges there is evidence of a dotted line suggesting they were printed from a roll of paper fed into a printer or typewriter (remember those?)...Clark

The Scheduled Price Sheet is a very interesting document. I have only seen a few in the 30 or so years I have been around Corvettes and have one with my 69 which I've owned for 25 yrs. The full size 8.5 x11 sheet has both the retail price and to the right of the perforation the dealer price of the options listed. Most are missing the dealer side of the document. It resembles a window sticker and some people will confuse the two. Same type blue lines. Although it does not have a VIN printed on it the Order Number is on there which will connect it to the window sticker and Corvette order copy, car shipper, etc. its on both sides of the perforation. Dealers sometimes wrote the VIN on it. Each one I have seen was inconsistent with info. For example, one I had seen was missing interior color info, the dealer codes could be in different places, the dealer address could be at the top or the bottom of the page. Delivery dates could be omitted or incorrect. However, I have never seen the purchasers name typed out on any of them but then again I have seen fewer of those than any other document. Also the form changed slightly in 1970 from 1969 in some wording and how the info was displayed.

By the way, I'm new here and have been out of the hobby for a long time. Good to be back.
