I put on new weatherstripping and new carpet door seals from Mid America and the doors will not shut with out slamming them. Has anyone had this problem with the doors hard to shut?

Re: Doors hard to shut
I can't speak to this application specifically. However, I've had this problem every time I've replace door weatherstrip. Close the doors and let them sit. Takes a little while for the foam to compress/set. Unless you have some weird issue, you're probably fine and the doors will close fine after a short time.- Top

Re: Doors hard to shut
Lyndon, I have seen this many times before, the reproduction weatherstripping material does not compress as the factory material does it generally takes a few months for it to conform to the door or window openings. There is nothing like NOS weatherstrips.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
