Hi members. You guys have saved me before, and my search for a nice car continues. I just found a 1970 LT1 that appears to be real, but without documentation.
After searching this forum for other engine pad stamps, and comparing them to others found online, I am more puzzled than ever. My friend has an original, matching #s 1970 300hp car, with the number 1 stamped into the date like the capital letter I. The pads I found on this forum, have the number 1 stamped with the flag on top, with a straight line coming down, similar to the photo I have attached here.
Did they stamp 1970 pads with the number 1 in the date both ways for 350 blocks?
In my attached photo, is the 6 correct for the month of June on the LT1 stamp?
Do the LT1 stamped numbers and letters look correct?
In the attached photo of the 300hp pad, is the number 1 correct there? Does this pad look correct?
I will ask the seller to clean off the pad next with a paint thinner of some kind, along with a toothbrush, to see the broach marks on the pad as well.
If possible can any members who help please post any original 1970 350 stampings here, or email me directly at -

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

ps: I will be at Carlisle next weekend, and look forward to meeting any members attending the show.
