On my early L75 '63 I do have the correct (early) #3799349 intake manifold, which has no power brake boss behind the carburetor mounting flange.
Since I would like to equip my car with power braking and I do have the original power brake booster and master cylinder, I would like to know where these early cars got their vacuum from. Was the J50 power braking option only avaible on later cars with the later (after 3/4/63) #3844459 intake manifold ? It seems there is a possibility to get vacuum from the AFB carburetor-base, I saw some pictures in Noland Adams book (page 127) where the vaccum was drawn from the base of the (AFB)carburetor where also the PVC valve was hooked up with a T-fitting. What is the correct (safest) way to do this? Thanks Ruud
