Are 62 rear leaf springs judged for date?

I apologize as I am 1000 miles away from my car and judging guide but I seem to remember they are only judged for the grooved leaves but would like confirmation and a search didn't answer my question. Thanks for the help.

Thanks John, that is helpful. What exactly is judged in regards to the springs? Just the presence of the grooves? Thanks for the help.

Haven't been under as many 62's as John has, but on 56-7 sometimes the stamps are visible and not covered up by the lower mount. If the part number and Julian date is visible they should be Judged. Gary....

          Bill,

The configuration will be looked at, including the grooves, number of leafs, liners, banding, attaching hardware including rear rivets, and the finish. Typically, a partial part number is visible. Date stamping is usually not visible, as John has indicated, however, every once in a while you can see some of the date coding.

CDCIF would be followed for point deductions if necessary.
