correct height of front of 1963 split window coupe

Just purchased a ground-off restored 63 SW coupe everything is perfect except the front LH side is higher than the RH side. I measured under the bumper in line with the parking light on each side - L.H. 20 inches from ground under bumper & R.H 18 1/2 inches?
Does anyone know what the correct measurement should be? Rather than replace the front springs, is there another simple/easy fix that I can do without disrupting the NCRS look.
I did attend a flight judging and nothing was mentioned about the front end height or have improper springs.
    Any suggestions.

Have you purchased a copy of the AIM yet?

Ken I am not sure that where you are taking the height measurement is correct. If you want to get a simple baseline height, Put the car on a level surface and just take a measurement from the ground to the center of the fender lips. There are other measurements in the AIM. Generally it is in the front pages of AIM.

'63 Shop Manual, page 14-1, gives a front suspension ride height measuring procedure and specification.

Check to insure the springs are seated in the pockets. And that springs are not installed upside down (coils will look too close) which affects ride height. Check if springs are different, as in one is newer than the other or repro springs are not always "matched" for compressed force.

Gene, The original 63 front coil springs are not like 64/67 springs. 63 springs are only 7 wound coils and does not have the close wound coils on one side, I think the 64/67 are like 12 ?? and have the close wound coils on one side
