Hemmings as well as other publications are full of vendors advertising that they've been doing it for years. I've had some REAL mediocre repairs done in the past and have several pieces now that I'd like to send to someone who's a perfectionist. (Outside windshield trim for 63 & 67 Corvettes as well as a set of El Camino bed moldings)

Re: Who do we REALLY like for stainless restoration?
Norris,
My suggestion for any stainless damage that is beyond the ability of the owner to repair one's self, is to source a replacement at swap meets. There is a vendor at Carlisle (I've seen his display) of Corvette stainless already restored and polished.
Having pieces all done ready for purchase is a save way of getting what you want. Sorry I do not recall the vendor.
But keep in mind nothing is lost "learning" how to do the repairs one's self to an already bad piece. Plenty of information on the web and books on the topic. This is a long tedious process to achieve perfection.- Top

Is there anyone who does '67 trim rings on rally wheel sets? My originals have some issues I would like to see if they can be restored. Thanks.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

I have seen many parts polished and restored/rebuilt and polished by Paul's Chrome on Corvettes and other vintage cars and all have been excellent. They are expensive but the work is done right.- Top
