    Delco D308R distributor cap

    On the top of a D308R cap it reads " DELCO REMY PATENT 2769047 R " was this cap ever on a production car?

      I don't know if this PARTICULAR cap was ever installed on a PRODUCTION vehicle. However, I believe that identical examples were used in PRODUCTION in 1969 or later.

          My research tells me that " Delco Remy " Patent 2769047 cap was used in 1968 and some in 1969. I am not sure when the 2769047 " R " was used.
