    Air Cleaner Covers

    I am looking for contact info on the Company that was advertising assorted sizes elastic bottom Air Cleaner Covers - designed to protect your hood from getting fried from the sun reflecting off your chrome air cleaner if you open your engine bay at a car show. Now that I want to buy one I can not find any of their ads. Appreciate any info anyone can provide. Thanks

    Re: Air Cleaner Covers

    I bought mine a number of years back at the winter meet here in Orlando, but I too have seen their ad many times in magazines - probably more often in our own Restorer magazine. If you saved yours, go back in time a ways. I'll check too and if I find at least the name of the outfit I'll re-post.

        Stu, I thought I was looking through the latest Driveline - your post made me look at it again and it was not the latest one. Thanks for the info, I take for granted that you like the one you have. Best wishes, Ed.

          ED;

          Glad you found it. Yes, I like mine very much. It used to be that I used just a white towel, possibly with a weight on it like a model Vette. I learned about the problem a long time ago from other show folks who also taught me to either use a bolt or clamp on the hood strut to prevent the wind from lifting the hood enough to release it and and allow it to slam closed. That was hard on my model Vettes on the air cleaner.
