I have a 1969 convertible that I am getting ready to 'lift' the body. I have installed supports of 1 inch square tubing in the door openings and made an additional support running from side to side. I do not want to remove the windshield (unless required) since it does not leak and there is no rust around it. Do most people remove the windshield on convertibles? I am concerned about putting undue stress on the windshield when lifting the body. I plan to raise the body with a 4 strap harness from one of the numerous vendors. Thanks for any thoughts or experiences when lifting convertible bodies. Steve

Re: 1969 Convertible Body Lift Question
Steve, I did not remove the windshield on my 68 convertible. The body is strong, the front clip is what you want to be careful with. Keep the radiator core support bolted in place. Body Lift.jpg- Top
