    Carb Resto

I'm looking for someone to rebuild/restore the Holley on my 71 LT1. I remember seeing an individuals name on one of the posts. Does anyone have contact information on him? Thanks

If you want the carbs done in a matter of weeks rather than months, go with Phil Cancilla. He will be at Carlisle, Spaces 29-30.

A few caveats. Used Eric Jackson at vintage muscle car parts for a 3810 on a 300 hp '67. He was very helpful, but put wrong jets(too big)(he corrected this at no charge) but after car kept running rich, discovered he'd used 2 gaskets on power valve causing internal leak.Have heard good things from others, but had these problems on mine. Have heard Jerry McNeish does beautiful work if you can get him.

                    Re: Carb Resto

Had an e-mail from Eric Jackson, Vintage muscle car parts. Said appearance of 2 powervalve gaskets instead of one was due to gasket separating when power valve was removed. Maybe,- Eric does a lot of carbs- but two pieces sure looked thick for one gasket. At any rate, problem was solved with new power valve/gasket tightened to specs. Like I said, Eric is helpful and conscientious and lot of good references for him on tech forum and sure he would have corrected whatever if I had called him and sent it back to him, but not wanting another sending back and forth, buddy and I replaced power valve and new gasket .
