Paris Auto Salon 1964 - Corvettes

I own a '65 Corvette #48 exported to France with respective plate in the engine bay - but with mph speedo face not km/h . Since it is a 3.rd day of production car (27.08.64) I thought maybe it was presented at the Paris Auto Show in Oct. 1964. Does anybody have information on this specific car show with regard to Corvette? I recall a '64 Big Tank is believed to be presented there. But since Oct. 1964 would fall in the '65 model year I guess GM would present a suitable model year. What happened to showed cars abroad - were they shipped back or remained there?

Oliver -- there's that Silver/black '65 big tank powerglide shipped to Holland by a US serviceman which he brought back to Ft. Hood TX in January of 1975. Speedo calibrated in kilometers/hr. Appeared at Bloomington Special Collection XII (1995).

Mid-Feb '65 production, [arrived in Holland April 13th] so it can't be any of those you've mentioned.

Delco catalog I have shows part numbers for the kilometer versions of speedo's, so maybe St. Louis kept a few instrument panel assy's on hand for the export cars.
