Re: 68 Convertible Top Bolt TSB
Are you aware that this TSB, along with the other one you posted about heat shields, are available in the 4th Edition of the 1968-69 TIM&JG that is available from the NCRS office through the radio buttons above? In addition all other 1968-69 Corvette related TSBs, Chevrolet Service News articles, and Campaigns are also included in the TIM&JGTerry- Top

Re: 68 Convertible Top Bolt TSB
No, I wasn't since I no longer have a 68 nor the TIM&JG for that year. Just posting interesting things I've found for anyone who doesn't have the references.
I suppose it is redundant.
I would delete the posts, but seems like the edit feature doesn't allow deletion.Last edited by Cecil L.; July 11, 2013, 11:31 PM.- Top

Re: 68 Convertible Top Bolt TSB
If the "edit" function is there you can delete, up until the time someone else posts on the thread. Deleting a prior post after someone has posted would leave that person's comment hanging in limbo and that person's comment would make no sense.
No need to delete them -- they are excellent images, and may lead others to seek the entire collection. I believe it is the intent of the National Team Leader (soon to be former) to include all available Corvette references in TSBs, Chevrolet Service News and other available primary research information in each TIM&JG as it is revised. Having collected these documents for years (this pursuit was the start of the National Corvette Museum) I can tell you that what we have included in the 1968-69 TIM&JG is just the beginning of the available information. I picked the low hanging fruit from my collection, but others will have material to offer to the cause long after I am gone.
Edit add: Since I don't own any TIM&JGs except 1968-69 and 1970-72 I have no idea what state those manuals are. The 1970-72 revision is slowly underway, and I expect -- if the new National Team Leader agrees with the previous policy -- that manual will contain the available material for 1970-72 as the 1968-69. There is a lot less of the 1970-72 material since 1968 has a huge amount.Terry- Top
