I'm considering buying new window glass for my May, 1968 Convertible C3. I notice new window glass is sold by Corvette parts vendor(s). For an additional amount I money I can have Astro-Ventilation (sic) embossed on the glass. Apparently the replacement glass is tinted. I don't think my originals are tinted, but that will be acceptable for me. A pair is going to be a little less than $600. I assume they're aftermarket glass. Some of the aftermarket stuff I've bought has been of poor quality/poor fit. Any comments about the quality/fit I can expect? Thanks

My original window glasses are chipped at the top edge where they previously came in contract with weatherstrip mounting screws on the hardtop. Other than that, they are in good condition although I haven't closely examined them. I bought a set of 68 (early 69?) window glass on ebay, but on close look there are microscopic scratches on them that are noticeable when sunlight is hitting the glass at the correct angle. I bought a glass polishing kit from Eastwood, but that looks like too much work! So I'm thinking on trying out new glass.
