Where to purchase new Steel rear spring for '67

Who, in your opinion, sells the best replacement STEEL rear spring for a '67?
I want to alleviate any height issues with the new one.
And do I go with the 9 leaf or the 7 leaf?

Al, you have a couple of choices, for the 9 leaf spring Eaton spring makes a spring that will sit at the correct height and is somewhat configured like the factory ( They were the original company that made the Corvette factory rear spring). or for the 7 leaf spring Americas finest make a dead on reproduction of the original and has the correct height also.

      Ed -

Actually, there is/was no connection between the original Eaton Corporation (which is still in business and is one of the largest global chassis component manufacturers) and Eaton Detroit Spring, which is a family-owned full-service spring shop with all the facilities and tools to make springs from scratch; they both just happen to have the "Eaton" name.

      Al -

If your car is an L-71 with F-41, it takes a 7-leaf spring; otherwise it takes a 9-leaf spring.

        Thanks Guys -
Hi John - Yes mine is a L71 with F41 - So 7 leaf it is - Who should I buy it from - I want the best quality and closest to original specs. (aka no hassles).
Whi8ch one of these springs provides greater ride height when installed?

          Al,

I believe the only place to get the repro 7-leaf spring that has the cosmetically "correct" (or as good as it gets) taper rolled ends is America's Finest Corvettes in CA.

After a lot of research, I purchased the complete F-40 package from America's Finest in CA 2 years ago. Couldn't be happier, correct height and ride.
