1986 grey wheel lug nut cap

The tire shop destroyed one of my lug nut caps. Need another quick before leaving for Hampton. The GM #10029867 is for an 86 cap and GM #12337914 shows for 88-90. I can find lots of 914's but no luck with 867. The cap must be grey, not black (85). Question: will the 914 (88) cap interchange with 867 (86)? I can't find any official interchange info re this. Otherwise, does anyone have a grey 867 cap that I can buy? Thanks.

Thanks, Tom. That pic looks perfect. 85 is black, 87 is silver and 86 is grey like your pic. Would love to have it. Norm Shier PO Box 87 Bethel Island, CA 94511 email: nessasiv@aol.com

          Tom -

Your "desk drawer" must be the only one whose capacity is rated in cubic feet!

The original part number for the 1986 Corvette wheel lug nut cap is GM #14102345 and these caps are GRAY. Fortunately, these remain available from GM to this very day. Eventually, you're going to need more than 1 so this is a good thing.

Tip: always remove these prior to taking the car to a shop where the wheels will be removed for any reason. If the shop removes and re-installs them you can almost be assured that some will be broken.
