Windshield repair help

Looking for advice and suggestions. The windshield has a small chip about the size of a pin head,can barely feel it on the outside, however the laminate inside the glass behind the chip appears to be damage about the size of a dime. It is the original 1966 windshield and don't want to change it. Are there special glass repair services that can fix this or at least stop the De-lamination inside the glass from getting worse. Any glass experts for this vintage glass in NJ ?

Roger, Go to a recon shop in your area. Or ask a new car dealer for advise on who to use.
I had a lease car that had it share of windshield stone chips, etc because my ex wife was a tail gater. They fixed the windshield to perfection and no dings from the lease company on it.
You didn't ask but I watched a recon shop fix all the stone chips on the front end. They had this special putty that they used to fill in the dings. But first they colored the putty with paint and when the job was done it looked perfect.
I would just go to a recon shop. Look in the yellow pages. John
