Instrument panel connections

I have what I believe is a capicator under the dash attached to the clutch/brake pedal assembly. It has 2 black wires, one coming from each end, and these are attached to thin pieces of copper that are very thin. Can you tell me what this is and where do the ends plug in? I have looked at the wiring diagram and cannot see this indicated anywhere. The car is a 67 coupe with 327/350hp. Thanks, Dennis

Think you are talking about this one? (lower center of picture) Black wires go across brake switch under the connector.
Sorry about poor pictures but gives one the general idea.
