    Anyone know what the A stands for after trim code 490 on a 1963 ?

      If I am not mistaken, 490 stands for Vinyl. The letter afterwards, in your case A stands for the interior color. A stands for Dark Blue Vinyl on a Coupe. http://www.stl-vettes.com/65Vette/tr...ag_display.htm

          490 A is definitely dark blue vinyl.
