Wish to thank the Corvette Restorer, specifically Armand Filer for his article on installing 1963 Firewall Insulation.
I was dreading this little project knowing how difficult it is to install the rubber plugs.
After trying unsuccessfully to install the rubber plugs I searched the archives and Larry Mueler had posted to reviewing the Restorer Volume 29-2. I did and tried Armand procedure using the string and I was done within 1 hour and did not need to remove the cluster.
