Carb leaking gas

65 BB I've notice my engine runs fine until it gets good in warm, Once it warms up good i can be cruising @ 2500 RPM in notice a little skip in the engine every now in then, After cutting the engine off in trying to restart it, It seems to be trying to flood or load up with gas, this doesn't happen until engine is warm, it runs at a temp of around 180. After driving it a while today i got it home in pulled the breather off, I shot the carb temp with a IR gun, thought it my be perculating the temp @ carb was about 139 to 143F not bad. Then i noticed gas leaking from the left rear of carb down into the intake, i guess you would say leaking from left rear bowl. Can someone tell me what's going on.

Brenton, I would say its possible that you may have a heavy float or a float level that maybe a tad on the high side. this is very common with ethonal fuels. sometimes during a rebuild the float levels are set to factocy spec. and it just does not seem to work with todays fuels. you generally need to lower about 2/32ths.
