    Center dash console 1963

I am going to replace my dash pads soon and would like to do the same with the center console . Is the console a relatively self evident process to remove and replace ? Any advice?

    Thanks, Jim

Jim To replace the dash pads you have to remove the whole dash from the car. The dash is riveted to the door hinge area on both sides. The inside windshield moldings, the dash gauge cluster by dropping steering column, the glove box, radio, clock, heater controls, three pieces of the console. The dash is also bonded to the floor pan at the very bottom below the radio opening. Phil 8063

If you have never done this, than I suggest having someone there who has. A lot can go really wrong, really fast.
