1957 Corvette temp and fuel guage wiring

The AIM is very confusing concerning the wiring of the temp and fuel guages. Would some post a photo of the back side of these two guages. Thanks in advance for your time.

Re: 1957 Corvette temp and fuel guage wiring

Jerry, I had Milton Hood from Woodstock, Georgia to rebuild and recalibrate the gauges for my 1956 Corvette. He told me when you are laying under the dash wiring the gauges to be sure to put the hot wire (red) on the lead closest to the driver's door. This worked for me. I wish you the best of luck with your restoration. Brooks Glover (2141)

Hello Dave, I hope I am not wearing out my welcome. Needs two more pictures. one fuse panel and full battery guage. This car refuses to start fuel is ok and starter turns over--no spark? It is starting to get to me!

Hello David, here I go again. Having problems with the ignition switch wiring setup ,double pink wire location and single pink wire location , resister wiring ,and coil wiring. Your photos have been very helpful. I am taking one step forward and five steps backwards. I have a AIM resource but my copy is very poor for it has been reproduced many times and it is very hard to read. All my colored wiring diagrams are packed. You have been so kind to sent me some great photos. Would u advise which of the two green wires and the brown wire location on the resistor. One of the green wires goes to the coil and the other goes to the resistor. This old car has me talking to myself. Your idea on checking the coil was good but I think I have the wiring so ---up that, I should start over with the basics.

Jerry when you say the old girl came back to life. Does that mean you got the old girl running. If so what did you find as the problem Dave

Hello David, the old girl became a spring chicken yesterday. I had two wires incorrectly placed, the black ignition wire on starter switch and one of the green wires on the resistor which should have been mounted on the coil. I own you a couple of beers. THANKS AGAIN Jerry
