    1966 4 speed linkage,reverse lever stuck?

Can't get reverse linkage to lined up, lever appears to be stuck in gear, how much force needs to be applied to move in neutral position? Can role car in and out of garage, so i don't think its in gear. body off frame. have gage in shifter in neutral position all three levers. Any thoughts or suggestions

Your description sounds like the shift lever lower end is not in one of the three gates in the shifter arms.
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance

Have the levers and linkage installed for 1-2,3-4 have lever on trans for reverse but linkage doesn't line up. Reverse lever seems to be in the engaged position(but i can roll it foward and back) can't move lever to the neutral position, if it was in the neutral position it looks like it would line up. How much force can or should I use to try to put it in the neutral position. 1-2,3-4 can move easily buy hand.

Your statements are contradicting. Do you have all shift arms aligned with the tranny arms in neutral and adjusted to insert the rods with the gauge inserted or not? You say you can shift 1,2,3,& 4. Well, in between them gears is neutral.

If the car is in reverse it WILL NOT roll without the clutch depressed. Difficult to depress clutch if the body is off.

        Please clarify.

With gage inserted all Shift arms align with tranny arms excerpt reverse. Looked at it closer and took off reverse tranny arm flipped it and everything lined up. Had reverse tranny arm on wrong. Works fine now thanks for the quick responses
