Can anyone comment on how the tops looked from the factory???

Yes - they were NOT bowstring-tight like many installers insist on to avoid "comebacks" for wrinkles; they weren't all wrinkly either, but they didn't pull the windshield frame up off the glass when you latched the top.

A friend of mine installed his top (58 Corvette) using the Al Knoch video.
It came out great and still is a few years later.
BUT, you must follow the directions exactly, and the results are great.

Bruce, my original top on the '57 did not have wrinkles and was "loose enough" to get up and latch front and back with no problems. It was not as tight as many I have seen and did not appear to shrink like many non-GM tops. It was a good factory fit. Steve
