    66 U69 and A/C wiring

    Gentlemen,

Can I assume that the Purple wire from the A/C harness plugs into the Capacitor wire attached to the Blower Motor and the other end of the Capacitor wire plugs into the blower motor?

It would seem logical however the AIM call for an existing orange wire ?

    See Attached Photos .

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Jim -

That illlustration in U69 assumes the car has a heater, not optional A/C, so it shows the orange power wire to the heater blower. With A/C, that orange wire isn't used - it's taped back out of the way (your Assembly Manual, section C60, sheet E1, item #8 and View "B") and the purple wire from the A/C harness gets plugged onto the blower motor (and to the radio capacitor if the car also has a radio).

      Thanks John,

I think I see . So I should indeed plug the purple wire into the capacitor and the capacitor to the existing blower motor male end as I assumed . Correct ?

Meanwhile the only orange wire I have still goes to the third prong ( inside edge of the Relay asm. as pictured in C60 E1

        Yes, that's correct.
