C2 wiper motor not parking

my 66 wiper motor works great on low and high speed. the issue is, once i turn the wipers on
they will not park.. of course i did the most logical to me, i replaced the wiper motor
switch....still same result... is it something simple or will i have to remove the motor???
it will eventually park when i play with the switch to on and off position. what gives?

The park mechanism in the motor is probably gummed-up with old, dried lubricant; clean it out and apply fresh lube and see if that solves the problem.
