According to the 69 TIM & JG there should be an "additional black plastic insulator" as part of the 69 Antenna assembly. The 69 AIM (U69/B1-attached) shows this insulator as a 'gasket', GM # 3138635 (Item 15). I've contacted a few vendors and no one has ever seen this insulator ('gasket') installed on a car. Can anyone provide me with any additional info concerning this 'gasket'? Dimensions, photo, where to purchase one, point deduction for not having one installed? Thanks Wes69 Antenna.jpg

Re: 69 Antenna Gasket
Wes, that same o-ring (gasket) was used on the 67-69 Camaro, 67-69 Firebird, 65-69 Corvair (and others I'm sure). In reality, it started life as an evaporator seal for 57-58 full size cars with A/C! The inner diameter is .739 and you can probably find it just about anywhere that sells o-rings, but if you can't find it, you can get it at Heartbeat City. HERE'S the direct link.

Re: 69 Antenna Gasket
Ed, I went out and bought two O-rings. The smaller O-ring (# 210) measures approx. .739" ID with a thickness of approx. .14". I've attached a picture of what it looks like sitting on the bezel. Is that what it's suppose to look like? I bought a bigger O-ring (# 213) for comparison which measures approx. .960" ID with a thickness of approx. .14" which pretty much covers the entire flat surface of bezel. Thanks Wes Large O Ring.jpgSmall O Ring.jpg- Top
