I know there has been a lack of quality rags on the market but I just built a c2 box and used a supplied rag joint from a C2 only supplier east of NYC and it was pretty decent. It has the B.Copper ground strap, riveted flange, and the rag material was good, not as rigid as original but a lot better then most I have seen. It came with a pinch bolt which the originals didn't and although not correct will function fine. The price was fair as well so maybe there is hope out there. Not sure about the 67-69 or 69-82 rags though, I haven't seen one yet that I liked. One vendor had some decent ones but sold out of them the last I heard. I would use this C2 non tele rag over a u-joint or some of the common rags I see online from steering companies or vendors. Just passing along the info.

Re: C2 Rag Joints
It's too bad that the supplier of the C2 flexible coupling assemblies doesn't expand just a bit. From your explanation, they have the parts and resources to make the 1967 C2 flex coupling. That would mean that they are about 95% capable of making the 1968 thru 1982 C3 flex coupling assembly.
