    Seatback "hockey sticks"

I have a late '65. Are the repro "hockey sticks" on the seats good enough to pass muster during judging or should I have the originals rechromed? Thanks.

It's my experience provided one is using a quality plater the nickel content will be higher in the replated 'hockey sticks' than repros you'll purchase. Keep in mind you'll have to have decent hockey sticks to begin with.

Loren, Are those hockey sticks for a left or right handed shot?

Curved blades are not allowed. Christian Brothers in Minnesota can supply as many as are needed. RIP "Fighting Sioux" hockey........

Agree, this is good advice. Repop stuff always seem to have some kind of deficiency. Most platers have a pride in their work.

Do any of the repos have differences that "declare" themselves as "different". These are pieces on a car sold new in Scottsdale and, except for judging, I wouldn't think about having them plated. Maybe that's my solution - to listen to the judge explain "how terrible" they are after only 50 year. Thanks to all.

Cost comparisons are great - provided that you can find out before hand that the repro has a defect that cannot be hidden - makes for an easy decision for replating.

thanks, Dick - LI repros are correct with Notch on top for seat back chrome - and USA made. no differences in appearance.
