67 BB Rear Stabilizer Bar Hardware

There seems to be a lot of differences between the AIM, judging manual, and the various suppliers about the finish of this hardware.

The four bolts and lock washers that hold the bracket to the top of the trailing arm at GM 122007. I can't cross this directly but it's a 5/16 x 18 x 3/4. Mine were so bad its hard to tell but i think they were natural The replacements came black.

The four bolts that go thru the stabilizer link bushings are GM 179842. This crosses to a 3/8 x 16 x 1.375.
The nuts in my car were cad plated and that seems to but what the suppliers have. But how about the bolts. The ones in my car were black and much longer (1.7). I've seen both black and cad supplied.

The four bolts that hold the bracket to the frame are GM 3784303. They are also 5/16 x 18 x 3/4 with a split lock washer integral to the bolt. Mine were cad and the replacements came black.

    Any input appreciated.
    Thanks

      Steve -

Here's my take on it - others may differ:

Bar to frame - black bracket, zinc bolts.

Trailing Arm - natural tapping plate, black link bracket, zinc bolts/lw's.

Bar-to-trailing arm links - natural links, natural bushing bolts/nuts.

GM #179842-----3/8-16 X 1", GM 280M material (SAE grade 5---3 lines), plain finish. [note: 1" length seems a little short to me for this bolt but that's what GM says was the length of the 179842]

GM #122007----I have no specs on this bolt

GM #124829----3/8-16 hex nut, 7/32" thick, GM 286M material grade, zinc finish

GM #3784303--- 5/16-18 X 7/8" bolt, untrimmed head, GM 280M material grade, captured split lockwasher, zinc finish

The 122007 bolt is shown in the 1966 AIM on 4 different pages. According to my notes it is 5/16"-18 X 3/4".

Thanks John. That agrees with 2 67's I have access to that are Top Flight cars. They are restorations done many years ago.
