I examined a car today that appeared to have correct paint and striping. However, I could not detect (with a fingernail) any contour rise or bump in the stripe area compared to the main paint. As far as I could determine, there is no clear coat over both paint and striping on this particular car. There were no indications of clear anywhere else, and all drip rails and door areas were properly dull. So, figuring that there should be a noticeable ridge with a stripe, would this constitute a 20% or 50% deduction under TFP guidelines?
Thanks!
