I let the Certification Decal on the drivers door from my one owner 72 454 grow legs. I tried emails to those in NCRS I understood had the data base of numbers on the Certification Decals and I have done research with many similar cars backing into the numbers I believe are appropriate before I order a repro from ECS.I thought I would float this question on the forum and see what comes up from either "the data base" that is floating around or from owners cars. Of the key factors that contribute to the "weights", my car is a 72 454 MT Coupe with air, radio, standard wheel covers and power windows. It does NOT have power brakes or power steering. Again wanting to confirm the three GVW numbers for this vehicle as compared to calculated numbers form many corvette forum and online sellers who have graciously sent me pics. The missing feedback is the NCRS data base I understood developed by a fellow in Texas and handed over to NCRS. Thanks for any and all.... Hugh

Re: Certification Decal 1972
Hi Terry. I heard from two sources that Bob Cook had accumulated data and it was turned over to the national level. I think I still have a note from Bob to another contact of mine that said the data went to Stan and Chuck (68/69). I and my judge contact tried contacting them almost a year ago now and never heard back. I just started collecting responses from online dealers and forum members to develop a likely set of numbers. Maybe it's all rumor but I am sure I still have the email that started my hunt. Hugh- Top

Re: Certification Decal 1972
OK Who is ECS & are there any others that make the stickers with the vin #. I remember that was what got Dick F in trouble in the day. I need on for my 70 454 one owner conv. also. It had original paint that was thin & I had it painted. Sticker was gone when I got it back. THANKS KEN- Top

Re: Certification Decal 1972
Hugh, there is no database of 1972 F/R weight breaks based on options which is what I believe you are looking for. Bob did have a notebook with information on the certification labels, but it was geared more to creating them rather than an actual database. Regards, Stan.- Top

You may no longer have your 1970-72 NCRS TIM&JG -- but it says 1970 and 1971 had certification labels with the VIN printed from the Protect o Plate. You do not need the weights Hugh is talking about. 1972 labels were made with a different format that you need not concern yourself with.Terry- Top

Re: Certification Decal 1972
I would check with ECS Ken, they were very good on the phone with my dozens of questions. Wishing I had never sold my 70 LT1 Donneybrooke Green roadster

Re: Certification Decal 1972
THANKS HUGH I called them today & ordered 1 for my Corvette. They were VERY nice people & I told Charlie about the vette birthday app. Thank you for posting the thread as I have been out of the loop for a while. As you can see I am holding the thread hostage for a cut of the action.LOL65 350 TI CONV 67 J56 435 CONV,67,390/AIR CONV,70 454/air CONV,
