What battery tender should I use for an AGM batter? Will the Cen-Tech for Harbor Freight work? Thanks, Jimmy

The charger from Restoreration Battery Co. has a charger that allows you to select AGM for charging, its not cheap but they very good.

I've been using Battery Tender now. I changed all my Battery Butlers over to Battery Tender as the Batter Butlers give up the ghost. I now have only one Battery Butler that works. The Battery Tender have been maintaining all my batterys including the AGM's so far........ Battery Tender appears to be a more quality product.

Get a CETEK.
Will charge a variety of different types of batteries.

Agree. My Battery Tender has been performing for over 15 years on both conventional acid and AGM batteries for my 1967 car.

I vote C-tek it works on any year and type 12v. its what the Corvette engineers selected as an option
for the c6.

The charger from Restoration Battery Co. gets my vote. It has been charging my AGM for at least 3 years. No problems.

Back in the late 1990's many of the bass boat manufacturers started putting onboard battery chargers in their boats as standard equipment. Most used Battery Tender chargers. I've been using the same set of AGM marine batteries in my bass boats since 1998, yep 15 years of charging them with the battery tender charger. Up until about 5 years ago I left the charger plugged in when not on the water, sometimes as much as 2 months in the winter. Oh, and by the way, the batteries were made by the same company that makes the AGM used in the Restoration battery. I'd say not only did I get my money's worth out of the batteries, but the battery tender worked pretty good. The last Battery Tender I bought for the boat was in 2000. I did have to replace one for my cars after about a year. They don't work too well when you run over them.

I've been using a "Battery MINDer Plus" model # 12117 made by VDC Electronics for the past few years during the winter months without any problems.

My Battery Tender Plus that I bought in the late 90's just died after many years of trouble free service. It mostly sat outside under the car. I got another one a couple months ago to replace it- Very happy with Battery tender.

I've been using the Battery Tender+ since they started making them; I just changed the Delco Professional Series #24-7YR battery in my '69 Z/28 last fall after 12 years, and the same battery in my '67 Corvette is going on its 12th year with no problems.
