1963 Seat Belt Buckles

There is extensive information on the seat belt lables and web in the JM but very little on the actual buckle. Anyone have a picture they could post of top and bottom? Thanks.

Jeff, Here a shot from the top. There are two styles of buckel backs, early and late. Difference in the font size of the middle line of text. See follow on posts for crappy pics...I could go to the shop for better pics, but it's late tonight.

Middle and late style with large font on the middle line.

Early style with same size font on the middle line. Used only until Oct 62 or there abouts. I think the Vin range is in the JG.

Not sure if these pics are helpful, but here's a few unrestored '63 seat belts buckles that I've collected over the years.
The one's with the tan webbing are "small font" early belts.
I've seen quie a few lately that seem to have the tops chrome plated, whereas I tbought that a satin-like (not polished) finish was more correct.
