Paul, I couldn't hear you over my own screams. I was recently visiting my son in Franklin, TN and he took me over to their Pickers new store in Nashville at the old Marathon cab factory. I was hoping to see one of these "rare" corvette parts for sale there, but not to be found.

A friend of mine, who is a body shop owner, has the opposite complaint about that show. They do all kinds of body work and paint on a car and sell it for price that is way too low for that much work plus their purchase price.

I saw it last night. The other odd thing to me was the car appeared to be a Black/Black survivor, but when finshed it looked to me like a Dark Blue Metalic over Dark Blue interior. Defintely looked like a base engine with incorrect valve covers (they had the mold crack seam).

I couldn't resist watching this show a second time. It seemed more bogus this go round than the first time.

I am a regular viewer of Counting Cars (I can't help it) and I agree with what has been said about the "restoration" of the 63 SWC. In Danny's defense, however, none of his restorations are ever claimed to be "correct" and from looking at his car collection he appears to restore them to suit his own taste. At the end of the day it is just entertainment.
